How do I use the spices?

How should you use our spice blends? Basically, always according to your own taste. Here are a few tips to guide you.

Zanzibar Pilau – A Journey to Zanzibar

Inspired by East African cuisine, Zanzibar Pilau brings the flavours of black pepper, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg into your kitchen. Pilau is a traditional dish from the Spice Islands; it varies from place to place, is often prepared with meat, potatoes, onions and rice, and is very well seasoned. This spice blend therefore ensures a culinary experience full of depth and variety. Thanks to the coarse grind, the flavours are released with particular intensity.

Directions: use about 1 tsp per 1 cup of rice. Add salt to taste. And here’s a detailed recipe too.

Grind: Our spice blends are formulated to offer you the very best flavours. By deliberately choosing not to grind the ingredients too finely, we preserve more of the essential oils and natural components that are responsible for their intense flavour. The advantage is that the flavours unfold gradually, lending your dishes and drinks a special depth.
